​We undertook this audit to assess whether the city’s water and sewer infrastructure can handle additional capacity as the city and service-area population grows and whether the city is effectively assessing capacity for new developments.

We found:

• The city is able to meet current water and sewer demands, but funding constraints limit future improvements
• The city evaluates water and sewer capacity for new developments, but the department needs better tools to identify and monitor sewer capacity.​
